    Benefit Mid-South Food Bank
    Food Chain on South Main, September 24, 2010

    Your art will be viewed at South Main Merchants for the silent auction which will close September 24 at 9 PM. to benefit the Mid-South Food Bank. Proceeds of these funds will be used to purchase food for those in need, throughout the Midsouth area which consists of 31 counties in west Tennessee, north Mississippi and east Arkansas.

    Original artwork must be delivered to See the Difference Interiors, 431 South Main Street, Suite 101, Memphis TN 38103, no later than September 18, 2010.

    Entry: All registrations must be received no later than August 31, 2010, 4:00 PM, CST.

    Entry Fee: There will be NO ENTRY FEE

    Artists: We would appreciate the donation of your artwork with 100% of the proceeds going to the Food Bank, or you can elect to receive 20% of the highest accepted bid.

    Medium Size:
    Maximum canvas should not exceed 24" x 30" and sculpture should not exceed 20 pounds.

    Not Limited to One Piece of Art: Each art piece needs to be registered individually. i.e., submission of two pieces of art means two Registrations Forms.

  • Art Guidelines

    The "Food Chain on South Main - CALL FOR ARTISTS" will be enhanced by your artistic participation in creating a piece of art that is reflective of food and is not limited to the following example:

    • Food product or label - Campbell's Soup, fruit basket, apple, banana

    • Meal time - plate of spaghetti, bowl of cereal, cafeteria lunch.

    • Harvesting crops - corn, wheat, John Deere tractor in field.

    • Having fun - picnic, watermelon eating contest, bobbing for apples.

    • Food line - kids receiving backpacks with weekend snacks,
      churches/other organizations feeding the hungry.

  • RULES OF THE FOOD CHAIN ON SOUTH MAIN

    1. Artwork submitted for the 2010 Food Chain on South Main Mid-South Food Bank benefit, must be an original creation. The artwork may not be published previously nor protected by copyright. Artists may submit more than one entry but each piece of artwork must be submitted separately and accompanied by an entry form.

    2. Entries should promote either food, dining, growing or sharing of food, etc.

    3. Entries for the 2010 Food Chain on South Main will be accepted no later than August 31, 2010, 4:00 PM, CST.
